Biotechnology Degree
Objetive
- Know the structure of the main biological polymers and relate it to the properties of their monomers and the interactions they establish with each other and with solvent molecules.
- Understand the relationship between the structure of macromolecules and their biological functions.
- Understand the biotechnological importance of proteins, nucleic acids, and polysaccharides.
Evaluation
Theory. (70%) Exam at the end of the semester on the date determined by the Faculty.
Practices. (30%) Practical Exam after its completion.
In addition to the ordinary method of evaluation described, students who do not pass the practice exam must take a global test consisting of taking the Theory Exam on the same date and time as the rest of their classmates and an additional practice test.

Voluntary jobs
A juicio del profesor, podrá realizarse un programa de seminarios preparados e impartidos por alumnos, que será voluntario y estará moderado por el profesor, quien evaluará el rigor, la claridad y la amenidad de la exposición y podrá, en base a ello, incrementar la nota final de los alumnos participantes en hasta un 10 % de su nota previa obtenida al combinar las notas de teoría y prácticas. El contenido expuesto en tales seminarios formará parte del contenido ordinario de la materia de cara a su evaluación en el examen de teoría común a todos los alumnos.
